Companions in Christ (CIC) is a spiritual formation program offered in a small group setting tailored for God seekers to respond to God’s call to a deeper relationship in Christ, as an individual and part of a small group.
Who is this for?
• If you desire to deepen your walk with the Lord, If you want to develop spiritual disciplines to help you grow into Christlikeness
• If you are wondering about your calling
• If you are seeking to journey with a small group of like-minded God seekers
* This is not an introduction to Christianity
CIC is a 28-session journey that moves through five parts: Christian journey, scripture, prayer, service, and spiritual guidance. CIC is not bible study. It focuses on experiencing God and discovery of spiritual practices that help us share more fully in the life of Christ. Participants grow spiritually by immersing themselves in the following throughout the 28 weeks:
• explore the depths of Scripture, learn to listen to God through it, and allow your life to be shaped by the Word;
• experience new dimensions of prayer, try fresh ways of opening to God, and learn what it means to practise the presence of God;
• reflect on Christ’s call in your life and discover anew the gifts that God is giving you for living out your personal ministry;
• grow together with fellow God seekers as a Christian community and gain skills in learning how small groups in the church become settings for spiritual guidance.
CiC focuses on participants' experiences of God and discovery of spiritual practices that help them to share more fully in the life of Christ. It aims to help participants grow spiritually by enabling them to immerse themselves through the spiritual disciplines of prayer, scripture, ministry, worship, study and Christian conversation.
All resources in CIC explore classical spiritual practices and invite participants to develop daily habits that open their lives to a more authentic and deeper relationship with God and with one another.
Companions in Christ is a treasure trove of small group resources for nurturing spiritual growth—a spiritual discipline designed to help you respond to God's call and deepen your roots in Christ.
Participants will have daily personal devotional time, opportunities for intimacy with God, and two-hour in-person gatherings each week for sharing and prayer.
