Much of our understanding of the Gospel has been shaped by Western and Modern assumptions. This course invites you to journey back to the Ancient world in which Jesus lived and taught, understanding Him within the prevailing Jewish Hebrew culture of His time. By appreciating the way Jesus quoted the Hebrew Scriptures, we may gain challenging insights which are often missed due to our modern assumptions and over-familiarity with New Testament passages. May the Scriptures come alive in their original setting.
